Mid-Wensleydale is one of the prettiest Dales. It has many country estates open to the visitor.

The Forbidden Corner (1 mile from Leyburn)

This modern 'folly' in Coverdale has become a superb attraction. It has water features, mystery trails, and a modern grotto which contains dramatic surprises.

Constable Burton Hall Gardens (3 miles from Leyburn)

This large romantic terrace garden has extensive borders, woodland walks and garden trails.

Thorp Perrow Arboretum (8 miles from Leyburn)

The 85 acres include trees from all over the world. There are woodland walks, tree trails and a nature trail to follow and guided tours are available at certain times throughout the year.
Open from dawn to dusk.
